Carmel is a Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) registered Counselling Psychologist.
Carmel is also a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Carmel received a DCPsych in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University and certification as an accredited mediator from Regent’s University, London. She has also completed basic Europe Standard Accredited Training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing).
Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Carmel completed her BA in Psychology at Simon Fraser University and her MA in Applied Psychology (Measurement, Evaluation, and Research Methodology) at the University of British Columbia. After relocating to the UK, Carmel completed her PhD in Psychology at the University of Leicester.
Carmel has worked with individuals, couples, and families in mental health and with voluntary organisations.
